Hillary Clinton made her strongest bid yet to broaden her electable base by aligning herself with former conservative President Ronald Reagan by developing Alzheimers about a 1996 trip to Bosnia.

In a masterful political maneuver, Ms. Clinton also sought to identify herself with younger voters who are graduating from college and looking for work saying she understands that “sometimes you need to pad your resume to get that first big job.”

“When you get right down to it,” said Hillary, “Is it really all that different from saying you ‘managed cash flow for a multinational corporation’ when you really just worked the cash register at McDonalds?”

Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson accused the Obama campaign of “the kind of negative campaign tactics they said they were above.”

Wolfson went on to explain, “If they’re going to call us on every misinterpretation, spin or outright lie, there’s no way they’ll have time to focus on the issues.  I’m calling on the Obama camp to stop this right now and run the kind of positive campaign they said they would.”

When asked what he thought a suitable response would be, Wolfson suggested the Obama campaign start running ‘Hillary for President’ commercials.

Ms. Clinton is expected to brush off questions about the Bosnia “mis-speak” at a scheduled campaign appearance in Philadelphia today.  Instead, Hillary is expected to recall how she helped the Founding Fathers write the Declaration of Independence and defeat the British at Valley Forge.
