Loses 11th Straight — As Another Lawsuit Against Nokia Fails in British Court
Qualcomm made it 0 for 11 as it lost another in a series of lawsuits against Nokia. Qualcomm has been suing the world’s largest mobile phone maker for patent infringement over GSM technology.
Qualcomm officials pointed out that GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) is the world’s dominant second-generation mobile phone technology standard and “is complicated enough that a good lawyer could dream up some basis for suing in an attempt to hit the legal Lotto.”

A Qualcomm spokesman said that, like Hillary, “we’re fighters, we’re in it for the long haul and we’re nasty, vindictive people who feel confident we can manipulate existing law and procedures for our own benefit.”
